Like a child thats had its fun with a new toy and then gotten bored with it and tossed it aside, except my toy existed in cyberspace - lurking on a server someplace...blog lay dormant patiently waiting for my return... I stumbled back upon it after having a chat with Thulie about her blog. Such an interesting mind she has - a refreshing outlook on things. Its been over a year and so much has happened! I've had some memorable encounters and made some good photographs too.. I got married, and even took my passion for photography to new heights by enrolling to study professional photography at a college. I'm making good progress and almost halfway through now but at a stage where the amount of information I have to absorb is stifling my creativity. I know I've got to learn this stuff, to be a better photographer so for now I soldier on, and enjoy experimenting, with all the new avenues of photography I have to explore. I've decided I love food photography the most - I've done a few shoots and am quite excited about the results. I've moved to another town, and am somewhat homesick.. nostalgic of my old way of life. Looking at bright prospects though.
Till next time.

A Very Good Friday
As I'm entertaining an international audience on this blog, I have to bear in mind that not everyone will know exactly what is happening in this photograph, so i will offer a brief explanation; Good Friday is an auspicious date in the Hindu Calender and in the weeks running up to the day, many Hindu devotees observe intense fasting and prayer in preparation for this day, where devotees practice firewalking and multiple body piercings as an expression of their faith. In this photograph a devotee is attended to after being pierced. Devotees feel no pain during this time and some may enter a trance-like state, while said to be posessed by Hindu gods.
